rear passenger window issue on '92 sidekick 4 door
« on: January 08, 2008, 11:35:26 AM »
Well, the window went down and up really slow yesterday and then stopped doing either.  I removed the door panel and some of the rain proofing plastic to see what happened.  The cable had 2 loops sticking out of the regulator, took an hour but I managed to pull those out.

It looks like the cable may have busted since the end of it is now stuck in the top plastic wheel where I assume it used to go around, pulley I suppose.  Does the end mount to something on the window or can I JB weld it to where it broke off or is it the best option to just purchse another regulator\cable assembly?

I looked at a haynes manual but can't tell where the cable mounts to

Any inexpensive replacement suggestions or schematics of where the cables mount?

Thanks

I had the exact same problem with the exact same door! the cable is supposed to make a loop. search on ebay for a co that sells PW motors they didn't have the door listed but by going to their site I found it. cheap like $50 only prob was they would send to Canada to I got a set of manual back doors off a friend and put those on.

Turns out the cable is kinked on the spool

Does anyone know if you can get another or just buy another motor\cable

If so does anyone know a good place to get one?
