QUICK TROUBLE SHOOT PLEASE 1.6 MOTOR
« on: September 22, 2005, 10:18:43 AM »
My friend is working on a 92 Tracker and cant get it to run. He is getting fire and fuel to the motor but no injector pulse. Any ideas of what could be wrong?

Thanks Zig

I hate to say this but I think it's probly one of 2 places

- Poor connection or somehting hooked up wrong
- ECU

Typically no injector pulse from my experience is ECU

Best guess...

Zig, also when the key is in the on pos there should be 12V on one side ov the inj. conn. If there isn't you have a powefeed prob. and check the feed ckt.

had the same prob a couple of months ago on my nissan truck, took my mechanic 2 weeks to trouble shoot it cause everytime he would put the scanner on it it would fire up again(really messed with him)ended up being a corroded plug at the batt terminal that was the main power for the computer. had fuel press at the rail, had spark, would run when i would dump fuel into the air body.
look at those plugs, might be the problem

I had the same problem with my X when I did the swap,

I was getting fuel, fire, ignition, compression, detonation but no combustion?.....

Wait, that was a bad dream... nvm
