Hawk is Awsome
« on: March 29, 2007, 11:22:04 AM »
I just wanted to say how great Haw Strictly Suzuki is.  I need a inner fender and a piece of frame that I was having trouble getting anywhere else.  They got me some very nice pieces and shipped them to me.  The price was so good and i don't know how they managed to ship everything so cheap.  Just wanted to give them some praise on a job well done.

You know, I think every 3 months or so someone posts on here about how great a job Hawk did with something and a couple other people chime in on their recent escapades.  :)

Might as well chime in.  :P

On the Saturday before a business trip that was to be followed by a wheeling trip I found a couple bad teeth in my front ring gear (Should have looked closer the first time).  Since the local Les Schwab was the only store open, I ended up taking them the third member to fix.  On Tuesday they call me up and mention they can't get the 5.12 gears.  At around 1:00 pm, and I'm in Boston.

A quick call into Hawk, they sell me a complete third member and get it shipped before the deadline (2:00) to have it at the shop by Thursday.  Two days later I'm back from the trip and have my ARB back under the SJ.  I love dealing with those guys.  :)

I'm that irritating customer that asks a bunch of questions... hangs up... thinks of more questions.... calls again...

Hawk's people have ALWAYS been patient and iformative with me. They also go out of their way to carry quality stuff. For example: I buy my maintanence stuff from them 'cause everything they use is SUPER quality. Even the air filter he includes is MUCH better than the ones available at my local parts stores.

Anyway, I've done several purchases from them, and been happy before and after the sale with 'em.

My two cents also:  I ordered and expansion valve from Hawk's. He said he had a used one for $28 shipped to my door and a new one a good bit costlier. Being as I'm holding a tight fist on expenses on the Sammy, I ordered the used one.  When the package got here the bill reflected the $28 as he stated but had a new part in the package. I called and he said forget it--apparently after I hung up he discovered he couldn't find the used one so he sent the new one in place with no extra charge.  Now that reflects on a business that has the customer in mind even at the cost of his business.  Don't find that commitment these days, except from Hawk's...

I have to agree.  Hawk is the most helpful and customer service oriented dealer I have ever used.  I have benefited from their technical assistance many times and spent so much that I got two free t-shirts.  8)
