Would this work?

I have a '91 2dr with an auto tranny (locked f/r and due for SAS + major surgery this fall).
I also have a '93 4dr with a whiny manual that I'd like to use for a "light duty" wheeler (aka my "WeeKneed" wheeler). An auto in the 4dr would be preferred (I luv the auto in the 2dr w/5.12's today).

I plan on using the lockers from the 2dr in the 4dr (it'll maintain stock drivetrain) ... 2dr then gets waggy or toy axels.

Question is what todo about the trans ...

I could try to get a 4sp auto (+computer), but I'm thinkin I could just transplant the trans between the 2 ...

Seems the auto into the 4dr shouldn't be too bad, and having it's pedals/linkages, getting the (rebuilt) manual into the 2dr should be do able ...

Is this just nuts? Should I just search and find a 4sp auto (+computer) for the 4dr?
