Suzuki Samurai and 8 valve Sidekick Camshaft the same?
« on: March 14, 2006, 08:13:49 AM »
I want a performace camshaft for my Suzuki Vitara(Euro Sidekick)G16A Carby engine, I cant see anyone other than Calmini selling this Cam, but what I noticed is that the product number "SS401" for the midrange camshaft on the Samuria page and in the Sidekick page of www.PureSuzuki.com, is the same number!

Can someone please tell me if they work the same for both???

I really need this information.

Thanks

The camshafts mechanically fit...

But the difference in displacement really tames the camshaft when put into the 1600.

Example...I can't remember the exact specs but the 1600 cam has more lift and duration (slightly) that the 1300 cam....so in effect the 1600 cam is a real mild bump for the 1300.
