So I'm replacing my exhaust from the manifold back.  Anybody got any opinions on what type of gasket to use between the manifold and the cat?  I've seen donuts and flat "paper" gaskets for this area and don't know which might be better?  Materials?

Meanwhile, I'd like to get another set of the bolts for this as mine are quite rusty and I suspect, original.  I can't find a set locally.  They've got the bolts and springs so that as you tighten down the springs create a pressure that sorta pulls the pipe and manifold together.  I've found them on PartsAmerica.com (Advanced Auto, Kragen, Schucks, etc's online site) but the local place can't find it.  It's also $30 plus shipping for three bolts, springs, and some other small hardware.
Anybody got a better/cheaper source for these?

not sure if this will help but when i changed my exhaust on my subaru legacy sport sedan a few years back i had to cut the spring/bolts off.  i reused the springs and just replaced the old bolts with some fresh ones that were about the same size etc.  worked for my suby....

When I changed my header for my 8V I had to order a gasket...it was metal put the apperance was paper like....

With this I had to use some high temprature glue....

Kinda funny how it smoked for awhile.....
