Extending Trackick struts

I just got my coil spacers off of e-bay (Thanks, hoepkers) and I am looking for the most efficient way to extend my struts. There is the strut flip, strut spacer, and the strut extender as offered by Boondox. Which will offer the best suspension action and allow the most travel? Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

The quickest and cheapest will be just to flip the upper strut mount. This will move your center of travel of the strut down a few inches (should be enough to make up for the spring spacer).

I flipped my mount, and added 2- 3-bolt, 2.5" exhaust flanges(inside hole measures 2 5/8").
A total of about 2" extra droop. I also drilled the holes to 3/8", and upgraded to 2" x 3/8" grade 8 bolts.

I got the boondox 2 inch strut extenders, flipped my mount, and added strut mount spacers.

What did you pay for the spacers, and do you have a link to your e-Bay suppler who always carries them? Or was this just a one-shot thing from an individual selling them?

My mechanic called me yesterday, and he quoted me $16 per spacer. Does that sound about right?

16 bucks per spacer??  Damn thats cheap...i bought mine from boondox for 25 a piece

I got my spacers from hoepkers as well. He posts on here but I do not know his name on the forum.  Really nice spacers though clean smooth design that seats really well.

I've been using this mechanic for a long time, so he's probably giving them to me for his wholesale cost. This guy doesn't really do suspension mods like you see here, so I'll be printing these threads when I go there so he can learn from all of YOU what he's doing with this.

He said he had done this awhile back on his personal vehicle, and in a very rare occurrence, if you hit something REALLY hard, that a spacer can fall out. Does THIS sound right to you guys?

Something doesn't sound right here:

When I spoke to him last week, he said that basically he just has to bang the spacers in. But when I just looked at some spacers on eBay, they sure didn't look that way, although a few DID. Also, I see them being sold as a pair of FRONT spacers, so what's the deal with the REAR of the vehicle?

Man, I'm pitiful.

   Spacers are usually sets of 4,2 front,and 2 rear.Sometimes in different heights to keep the vehicle level.Extended shocks are all you need for the back,after the spacer is installed.Most people use crown vic shocks.

I think what your Mechanic is talking about is the metal spring spreaders you turn into the springs with a socket wrench, those are not real spring spacers. Spacers go between the spring and the body mount, moving the spring down and the body up. Dave

I put spacers and the strut extenders on my four door.  the boondox strut extenders were to long.  so i had to put a an extended bumpstop to keep the strut from bottoming out and i had to drop my diff down because the CVs were just starting to bind at full drop.

i have an old procomp lift.  for the front I just used the diff drop.  it drops about 1.5 inches.
