Idle flux
« on: January 30, 2005, 03:42:27 AM »
I was reading that other idle flux post on here and I think i found what my problem is.

I recently developed an exhaust leak that just got worse.  The gasket between the manifold/pipe is toast and now is severly leaking (love that zuki roar :)).  Any, since this happened my idle will sometimes go from 1700-2000-1700-2000 and back and forth.  This only really happens on the COLDEST days.  Could my o2 sensor be getting cooled off, would the leak exacerbate that problem?  Cold air gets under my hood cause it don't latch down fully at the moment, would the sensor cool from the outside?

BTW, it is an 89 1.6L.

Thanks.
My other car is a Freightliner.

Do you have a three wire or a two wire o2 ?  three wire has a heater.
