Stole...I mean saw this here:

this is clearly not a stock equator...looks pretty bitching to me.
I am sure this will get moved to the equator forum...

I still don't see the big hype. It's a Nissan with an S on the front. Who cares?

Because it's a cool truck with an S on the front of it.  :D

It also comes with a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty instead of the 60,000 that Nissan offers.  :)

Exactly- I believe the media and attentionn to Suzuki is really needed. And they can already hang their hat on 4x4 of the year based on Petersens recent review.  Personally I would buy the suzuki truck over the nissan because I am a suzuki enthusiast. Maybe the truck will stimulate some more revenue and growth in our beloved company that may help them to cater to our specific desires in vehicles. It also brings more vendors to the table that may not have considered carrying or building suzuki based aftermarket components before this truck.  It just draws attention to suzuki and I think we all recognize they need the attention and respect.

but hey you dont have to like it. I personally after driving the Jimny for several days, have no desire to ever own one..

would you rather it was a rebadged ford ranger...... >:D

Here here Hutch!

I agree The Nissan Frontier platform is one of the best in it's class. I have a bud with an x Terra and it's a pretty decent trail truck!

my 2 cents

being a frontier owner, i like the look of the equator.  that truck in the pic may even have a titan suspension (the wider track is a noticeable sign) since the frontiers and titans share the same frame so several parts (especially uca, lca, front differential) from a titan will bolt on the frontier.  i have a titan front suspension on my truck.  the aftermarket support for the frontiers is decent, but nothing to write home about.  recently there have been more performance stuff out (superchips tuner, hypertech, unichip, uprev).  there are several suspension dealers as well.

Ranger's dual I-beam front suspension with a Nissan's V6 VQ40DE would be sweet.
