stumbles when warm
« on: March 17, 2009, 07:34:16 PM »
my 1990 kick, when cold startup it seems to run well, no stumbling when under throttle but when it warms up it has a very bad dead spot right when you take off under load, when it stumbles i can pin it and it just about dies till i let off and apply power slowly, when revs get up it clears up  and goes well till next time i shift, any ideas, thought off plugs/wires but why smooth when cold/rich mode??

my 88.8 samurai has been doing the same thing.. i have the 8 valve 1.6 in it and its the fuel pump thats the problem in my case.. acts how you said, for about the first minute after i start it it would run great, but then it just bogs down.. if you put the pedal to the floor does the engine just die?
