starter issue

I swaped  a 1.6 (trailtough adapter)into a samurai & the starter makes a sort of grinding noise  Ive done 4 or 5 swaps & never had this problem Im thinkin I may have to grind down mounting surface on starter any body run into this problem with a swap? or mabee use the 1.6 starter?( short term memory issues)

 ya me too I spent more time arguing with a dick head on piarate 4x4 than it did to swap it  called me a newbie even tho Ive been amember there for 3 year longer than him I hate having to gop thru all that shit just for alittle late night advice
