ok i know this has been covered before  but im having a new issue
 so here is the back ground . i have swaped everything from a 95  four door sidekick  into my 89  2 door side kick .
 by everything i mean everything . dash heater , engin , trany , all of it .
 when i got the 95 i the PO stated that the heater only blew on high . not an issue . its got heat .
 ok so now im  working on that problem .

first thing i thought of was the blower regulator . replaced it . no change .
 bought a new switch . no change .

 so im thinking ?? what the #$#|removethispart|@ ??
 so for the heck of it i wiggled the  heater controls for the 89 up into where i could  plick its speed controll switch in .
 guess what , it works fine  and i have all the speeds .
 i replaced the old resister and still have all the speeds /


 it doesnt look like anyone has munkied with the wireing   harness . its all still factory wrapped .
so what the heck  could be the deal
 why would the switch on  from the 89 work . but the swithc from tthe 95 not ?
 i pulled the switch from the 95 apart . everything looks like it makes good contact
anyone have any ideas?

 yes thats what i first thought as well . but i replaced it with a new one . and  had no change . so i also replaced the  switch . and again no change .

HOWEVER
 when i plug in  the 1989 switch " which is diffrent IE the bottom part of the switch is  part of the  the heater control cluster  unlike the 95 which is removable "
 everything then works fine .
 i would think that if it was the  resitor pack  that switch would only have high as well
 the dog gone thing is making no sense

 the only thing i can think of is that the wiring  has been changed . and thus correct for the 89  switch but not for the 95 . but darn if i can see where that has been done unless someone changed it in the plug . thats the only thing i can think of that would exsplain this .
 i have even pulled the old switch apart and cleaned all the  conections and contacts  to inclyed  exspanding the spring

 would anyone had a  shot of the back of the  95 switch and where the corisponding wires should be pluged .

The multi wires on the switch get hot and pull loose
from the copper terminals, I had to re-solder mine
years ago, and I think it needs it again

 i found nothing inside the switch that could be soldered ? everything is solid  plate
 what did you have to solder wildgoody ?
 tonight when i get home ill post a photo of the inside of the 95 switch .
maybe you could then point me to what may be the issue .
 

sorry no  photos tonight . i stoped art a yard sale and  found something  i could not pass up . will try and get photos of the switch tomarrow

Ya, I got an 89' so it could be different than yours, but the wires on the switch
had come loose and I only had high speed, that was over 10 years ago, and I'm
a little unsure where they are exactly but I resoldered them and it worked again

There is a resistor wire in the heater box by the fan, the air flow keeps it cool,
that might be your problem.

I have a Japanese built 89' it might have some different electrics than yours
if you have a CAMI built truck, the switch you have looks almost nothing like
mine, mine is soldered into the harness, at least what I remember it was
