Metric Bolts on Line
« on: February 21, 2011, 06:25:55 AM »
I'm needing some M12-1.25-30 bolts to mount my hitch to the 4 door, and can not find them at any of the local hardware stores. Does any one know of a good place on line to order metric bolts?

That's a pretty big bolt, that would be like a 7/16 in SAE, are you sure it's not a 10mm?

I just checked with mcmaster.com and the size you requested is not available in 1.25
thread, 1.75 for 12mm and 1.5 for 10mm.

I would not think they put a special thread on the mount, a standard coarse metric
would be the most reasonable for that location, reason being is the coarse threads are
not as susceptible to corrosion and dirt damage on the underside of a vehicle

I tend to agree with Wild but you can use this clickable link..... FASTENAL

They have them and I think you can order them on-line after you set up an account. You might also check to see if there is a store close to you 1st.

Thanks guys.... Yea, it's a M12x1.25.30. I pulled one of Godzuki II and tried it out on the 4 door. It fit fine once I got the dirt and grime out of it and took it to a local hardware shop and sized it. I actually found some at a local fastner shop here in Nashville about an hour ago.

Good deal, because I thought you might be chasing a really hard to find bolt

I was too. Normally they would send the harware when you ordered stuff like this. I dont know why they did not this time.... Oh well, problem solved....
