Shocks

Word up fellas,
Today at work i was thinking i could use maybe a 1"-ish lift on the Sammy. I was thinking that if i were to buy 4 new rancho shocks, like on spider trax, that had 12.875 compression 20.50 extension and 7.5 travel that it would give me a little lift over the calmini shocks on there now?  because it looks like they are taller that the calmini shocks and the compression of the body weight would be the same right? Im just wondering. . . like to here suggestionss ( and yes i am fully aware that 1" body lifts are 80$ and rediculously easy to install)
You can take the Sammy off the trail, but you cant take the trail out of the Sammy.

If I read that correctly,  I don't think that changing shocks will give you any lift at all, but it will give you more suspension travel and maybe a better ride.
