ok i have a 87 samurai with a 94 16v (Hawk's told me the block is at least and its obd1) is the egr suppose to have wires to talk to the ecm because mine dose not but the ppl in the duplex next to me moved and left a 94 sidekick behind and the landlord let me take all i could get off in 4 hour before he had it towed  the egr on it has wires that will plug into my harness could this be why my mpg sucks ?



before ppl ask i cleaned that sidekick out the best i could power steering , brakes, wire harness, vss, maf, egr, dist,coil w/exciter,and ecm

take the whole damn rig! storage unit or.....hell, I will come get it.

it's gone  the ppl came for it just as the tow truck showed up They are druggies and have stole from all the houses around here including stuff like my kid's lil red wagon. It was great  the look on there faces when they tried to tow it and there was no brakes or steering       power steering is nice in a samurai

The early 16Vs didn't have an EGR temp sensor (although if you look by the TPS sensor, you will see the two wires there for it that are taped up).  It shouldn't make any difference, MPG wise, if you have the EGR temp sensor or not.  I have had the early 16V engines and they get just as good of MPG as the later ones.
Oh, and I believe all Cali spec 16Vs had the EGR temp sensor, no matter what the year of 16V.
