cam timing - but also check the coolant temp sensor. if it is out of range the engine can run very rich.  how does the vehicle run? how fast can you get it going?

I had that probem,   youcan checkthe sensor by placing it in hot then cold and checking the resistance values with an ohm meter.  makesure its the right sensor though,  there are two.  One for the computer and one for the gauge.
DIY so ya can pay me to do it right later.

what do you mean cam timming? do you mean the belt jumped a tooth? changed the tpc and iac didnt check temp senser yet but had to turn up idle becuse it runs ruff at under 1500 rpm swoped map from parts truck didnt make diffrents will check temp senser and get back to you all

yes, a slipped tooth would
also change ignition timing
