jimny skid plate

Hi mates,

Has anyone a good plan, instructions or pictures of a jimny front skid plate? I'm planning to make one myself to do some serieus snow-offroading next month. You never know what's beneath the snow ;-)

No, no mods so far, except bigger tires and some inside stereo-gps-bleutooth-carkits gadgets.

It's very hard to drive modded cars in belgium without getting into trouble with the law. It's also my daily car and it brings me everywhere I want, so no special needs so far (except the skid plate)

Looks good ;). You will never see a Jimny or Lada Niva in the states but there cool, Btw knifeman,I see you like Good beer. Duvel, Avinteiness, corsendonk, Guinness are just some of the ones i realy like. Any you'd suggest? ;D

Yes,

They run a 3-link coil, rigid axle front and rear.

SAS is a term used to describe a modification to the Vitara when the IFS is scraped and replaced with a solid axle = Solid Axle Swap.

Solid axle (also called beam or full axle) like the Samurai has, as opposed to IFS (independent front suspension) like what the Vitara has.

I'd say for the same reason why you can't buy a new Samurai in the states anymore  ::) ::) ::).
