I have a 21' carson funrunner. It has a max weight of 7000lbs. It weighs about 4800lbs. Can I load a Samurai in it and be ok???

Unless you have added a bunch of weight you should be ok.  Samurai's usually roll under 2K in weight department.  Just to be sure I would run it across a scale first.

MY 02 tracker loaded up with all the power accessories is supposed to weigh in at 2900LBS so I'd think a sammy would weigh a lot less but it would be wise to scale it just the same.

Actually I'd scale the trailer loaded with your normal stuff in it and then the sammy and see how much extra weight capacity is left for the trailer, if any.

If the trailer weighs 4800 now and the sammy is 2000 then your very close to max.

I'd be surprised if the Sami was less than 2,000lbs unless its stock without any kind of armor or larger tires.  I've weighed 3 mildly built Samis and none were under 2400 lbs.

I agree.  Stock samurais weighed over 2000 from the factory.

I'm thrown off by the difference between the 410 and the Samurai all the time.  The SJ-410 claimed 1810 from the factory.

My 86 samurai owners manual says.....
2061lbs to 2127lbs curb weight, depending on whether it is a convertible or hardtop and 2 or 4 passenger (I assume the 2 or 4 passenger is whether or not it has a back seat).

think, curb weight is no fluids of any kind

when i weighted mine with me not in it. my sammi weighted 2468

31" baja claws, aluminum rims, 5 inch lift, 3 inch body lift, no soft top on, it back seat in, and think it was about a 1/4 tank. my gas gauge doesn't work so that's a coin toss

That sounds right.

so today i drove by the scale and i though of this topic so i filled up and turned around and weighted her. so still everything is the same on my truck except there is no heater core, dash is gutted, elec fan, different battery and no aftermarket bumper and i was in it

she weighed a whooping 2681 pounds and i weight 165. think the bumper is about 50 pounds and the heater core with less coolant maybe is 20 and the battery is lighter than the older one so 12 pounds
