1.6 16 valve head on 1.3 8 valve block

My friend has a samurai with the stock 8v engine in it. He just cooked the motor so he's rebuilding it. He was looking for some little upgrades while he was at it and i remembered i had my 1.6 16 valve sidekick sitting around just rotting away. Is it possible to through the 1.6 head on the 1.3 block. Im sure that they'll bolt up, but im more worried bout interfernce problems. Im not sure if i need to swap pistons or not. Anyways any help would be appreciated.

I'm sure you need the pistons from a 16V, they have the indents for the extra valves

If he wants to add power, he should put in a 1.6L 8V. I think he can use the same intake manifold and ignition so there's no wiring change... you may want to ask about that in the Samurai section

Why not just put the 16V in with out swapping 1.3 and 1.6 parts around? With the 16v head he will still need the wire loom modded and the puter.

The reason y he wants to do this is because i can sell him the head, wiring puter, super cheap. Im using the bottom end of the donor vehicle for my samurai setup so he cant have the whole motor.
