Engine bay oil slick!!
« on: April 10, 2011, 09:31:27 AM »
I'm going to pick up new to me sidekick today. Yay! I noticed the oil was a bit low and the top of the transmission is covered in more oil than the oil slick in the gulf coast.

What gaskets could i replace to shore up the gusher?  Is there anyone out there that sells some sort of complete top end gasket set to cover all the leaky oily places?

The distributor drive is a common leak point, as is the rear of the
valve cover on the 8V engine, so get some replacements and ask
for a reduced price if you can  ;)

Longshot but I've had the breather from the valve cover get plugged causing excess pressure and oil leaked every where.
