I came across this on Craigslist.com.

Geo Tracker Front ,4 Wheel Drive Assembly and half shafts for an automatic trans equiped Geo Tracker.

Will this fit my 1998 2wd 4 door Chevy Tracker?  What else wll I need to complete the 4WD conversion?

Might not hurt to have a transfer case.  And to use that, you will need a 4wd tranny to bolt it to.
What about lock out hubs (or auto hubs)?  Or are they on the end of the axleshafts, I can't tell for sure.
Is there a front driveshaft there?
IIRC, the front axle shafts will not fit through the 2wd spindles, so you need 4wd spindles too.
Your 98 might already have both frame mounts to hang the axle housing from (at least I know my 96 2wd does).  The earlier trackicks don't have the drivers side mount, I belive it is.

Assuming that came from a 3 speed auto tranny trackick, the front gears will be 4.62s.

If nothing else, the parts alone are easily worth the $75.
