sammi t-case progress
« on: January 09, 2005, 10:31:36 AM »
Welp, I'm about half way home with the sammi tcase install. Got the 2wd tranny in, now just need to adjust the linkage, and modify the 4wd tranny crossmember for the 2wd tranny. Picking up a 2wd d-shaft tomorrow so I can drive it to my buddies house who's gonna make me a t-case crossmember and also modifying the driveshafts to work.

Man O man what a PIA to get the tranny out! Still easier then some I have done tho!  ;)

Not much to see yet!!

I got more pics of the 4wd tranny and t-case, 2wd tranny in, modified x-member, and I'll have the 2wd stuff in and it'll be on the road tomorrow, and on its way to get the custom t-case x-member and driveshafts done by thurs!

When I get it back, its rear linelock and proportioning valve and start gathering for rear discs!

Ed, thanks! I'll be done in Feb 06! Couldn't get here soon enough!

Also, I got my rear line lock in, works well, but my brakes still engage reallyu low, BUT they do work, as does the line lock.

Still need to fix my LSPV, but I can't find the damn thing!!!

LSPV should be on the triangle of the rear axle, on mine it's a sort of valve with a lever on it that attaches to the triangle with a spring. Follow your brake lines to the back and you'll surely find it  ;D Good luck on finding it  ;)
