ok is there any way to adjust my fuel delivery on my 1.6 cuz it is sending raw fuel down the pipe until it is up to proper running temp. it has only started since we dropped below 0 degrees and now my km/ltr are shite went from 400kms on 33litres to 280km/ 33 litre

but when I warm it up real good and highway drive it for a longer period  it does better

now I know that it will go down in winter but that is a hell of a lot a difference  any suggestions?

Hey that 280km/33 litre is my fuel consumption with 33"s  ;D. If your 'check engine' light is on it's probably the O2 sensor, mine had similar f c stock with that thing broken. ;)

The PTC is probably not heating up.
PTC is Positive Temp Coefficient, it
looks like a basket that hangs under
the TBI and helps the low temp driving

hey wild is that the wax ball thingy that acts like a choke????
if not  how does it work and how do I fix...I have no engine light so I assume there is no sensor problem.

it has been warmer the last couple of days so I will get more than 300kms on this tank

No, it looks like a basket hanging under the TBI,
the fuel and air flow thru it and get warmed for
cold weather driving, the PTC fits between the
TBI and the intake manifold, has a gasket on
both sides and has an electric plug on it (12V)

check your coolant temp sensor - if slightly out of range will send false signals to the computer and use more gas.
