rebuild time
« on: August 30, 2009, 08:46:57 PM »
it's time to rebuild the 1.6 single cam and I'd like to hear where the best places are for parts (rebuild internals) other than the cam, that will be a hawk torquer of course, probably the head they have too, on the other 89', that setup ran well, even beating alot of honda's in a stoplight drag race I sure miss the old one, ( it was flipped about 3 times in a wreck where this gack in a matrix came head on at the wife, then she whipped her to the right just in time for this fool to hit her in the rear quarter and send her in the air for about 50 feat rolling not only horizontally but vertically, at least the cab held up thank god. so whe got the ins. money and bought another one, even the same year, I just wish I could find the old one to take the motor, it was sweet.

Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin' right here, all right. We got 4:11 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo-jet 390 horsepower. We're talkin' some freakin' muscle.
