Running hot?

87' sammy  1.3 w/weber   stock gears  33's driving around town temp is half way up the gauge
get on the freeway go 10 miles gauge is almost pegged out  and the heater will cook u out.  This is my DD and the freeway is a must to get to work   so how do i fix it
87sami 32" bfg mt 6.5:1 w/reverse S shifter  1.6 16v sold and missed

When did this problem start.? Sound like a partly plugged radiiator to me. Or t stat isn't opening all the way. Eazy driving only needs so much cooling. Pushing that lifted sami at speed is a different story!    p.s. Hows your coolant level?

Coolent is good   the rad looks good inside but has green corner i need a new one. i live in sw washington anyone have a rad 4 cheap?

got new rad ordered will be here this week   $130 bucks  from napa    thanks 4 the help!!!!
