Removable Doors for a Tracker
« on: June 17, 2011, 11:44:44 AM »
I need some ideas for a way to make the doors on my tracker removable.  I have a 93 tracker and i would like a quick and easy way to make the doors removable without completely unbolting them.  And I would like to make a set of tube doors also. Do you guys have any ideas or suggestions?

There are two types of hinges, one type has a circlip holding the pin in, the other type is more like a rivetted end. The pins can be a pain to remove because of paint on the pin and because one end is knurled. I recommend unbolting the hines to get the pins removed. If you have the rivet type then replace them for the circlip type. Clean up the pins to remove all the paint and file down the knurling. The pins should then be relatively easy to push in and out and the doors can be easily removed.

When you take off your doors, be careful the metal limiting strap/spring thing doesn't fall into the door.  It's a pain in the neck to retrieve.
