mated t-cases
« on: November 20, 2003, 01:36:36 PM »
i have an 88 zuki sammy 11in of lift, 33in boggers, locked fronnt +rear with 513 gears. my gearing is not low enough and i don want to spent 800 bucks for t-case gears. i have a spare t-case just sitting here.

i have read many articles in mags about np205 being mated together. i was wondering if any body had done this with sammy t-cases. i looked at the underside of sammy for long time but couldnt figure out exacty how to go about it. any body out there got any ideas? i think this would be a great mod, please help!!

it has been done but i think you have to have a centered rear end like toyota or sidekick ect. ask heather for her clubs web site add. it is in the monster garage sec. i think.

I've been thinking about that too.  It should be doable, but you'll need custom driveshafts, and probably have to re-work the tranny tunnel in the body.

BTW, tcase gears aren't that expensive.  I'm on 32's and I have the 4.16 xfer case regear with stock axle gearing and it works pretty good.  With 5.13's it would probably be great.  You can ge the 4.16 xfer case gears for about 400 if you install them yourself.  Installing the gears is not difficult at all.  No special tools required.
