Okay, so
I run 235/75/15's and they are quite aggressive A/T treads (basically mudders with siping)
however... just for play fun, I want to get some swampers
my delima... well I put on a 2" body lift (RRO)
should have enough room to clear 31's
and I kinda have 2 options in mind
1. the LTB
but they only come in 31 x 11.5, which are really fat... using my stock 5.5" steelies, they wouldn't have enough offset (rub rub rub)
I could buy some daytona's like from AR, but they only have 3.75 bs which is barely any different than my stock ones
and the fact they are bias ply kinda scares me, as I will still primariliy be driving on the road to and from these sites
2. the TSL radial
radial
31 x 9.5 (diggers)
looks like a mighty fine option if not primarliy rock crawling (not wide enough imo)
problem is that everyone told me they are outrageouly heavy, far heavier than any BFG, Goodyear etc..
I may not have enough power without changing my r&p
the next thing is this, i'm very happy with my 235's, never been stuck
I was thinking of going locker, but people tell me gainin axel clearance is more important
also...
I was told, if I wasn't going to be rock crawling all that much, just sand/mud/hill climbs
I should leave my axels' open as less things break and a set of TSL's on my light tucketteer should be good enough
your opinion guys?
