Also, if it is a TRUE 88 Samurai radiator, it is ALL METAL! This means that it can be easily cleaned out by a local radiator shop (the process is called "rodding") for less than a new one!
I would keep it and get it fixed - assuming that your fan clutch has not died as others have suggested.
BTW, I run a 1.6 8-valve with my rodded all-metal 1.3 radiator with no problems!
