Spider 9 Official Release
It's official!!! After years of rigorous testing and refinement, the Spider 9 axle line up has been released to the wild!!! The concept of the Spider 9 is to provide you, the garage builder, an easy and readily available way to make custom axles for your vehicle. The engineers at Spidertrax have designed all of the Spider 9 components to work seamlessly together, while providing the option to be built in stages (without the use of any special tools or equipment.) To see this in action, check out the August edition of “Petersons 4-Wheel and Off-road� where Editor Fred William walks you through a Spider 9 build in his garage.
Looking for a starting point? May we suggest the Spider 9 Roller Kits! This gear provides you with the necessary components needed to build a complete front or rear rolling axle. These kits are offered at a discount and include components such as housing, housing ends (knuckles or floater cups) and two unit bearings. From here, you can piece together the rest of your Spider 9 parts as your project evolves. We also offer online tools like our Spider 9 Calculator to take all of the guess work out of building your axles. Simply input the desired wheel mounting surface and pinion offset, and the calculator will provide you with your custom housing dimensions (including where to cut the axle housing tube and the axle shaft lengths).
