I can tell you from experience they're pretty damn slow with 31's and the 4.30 gears. :P  Been running around on stockish 215's for a few months now while I worked on the gear swap, finding some better 31's, and time issues.  Looks stupid but hey, it doesn't absolutely fall onto it's face on hills anymore!  It wasn't horrible but I think that was the 16V's extra power.  Properly geared it should pull some 235's or 30's nicely.  Personally if I had that little honey you just got I'd talk to RockMolester about an OME lift, slap some 30's on, and then regear with 4.62's or 5.12's and call it good.

The 31's are coming soon...then the swap...

so if you figure that at todays exchange rate your 1500us is about 1700cdn. you could not even find a decent 92 or 93 for that much money up here; never mind a 96 in good shape which will set you back at least $4000. so that is a great deal!!!

derek

it's just not fair for us though :(

heheh,  it was his ASKING price, and he put it on Craigslist!!

He said it was in great condition, and he didn't lie.. I have the EGR code and a TCC code to sort out, but it won't cost much, and it runs fine the way it is..

I am TICKLED!!!

Hey Samurai guy, I might be interested.. I will PM you.

Looks good.  I picked up one very similar, only red and with 90K miles on it for $3000 this spring with a 5 speed.  So great score.  :)

I run the 235's and it runs great, gets right up to speed.  I figure once the new exhaust goes on and the EGR valve is fixed it should cruise great.  Put a small lift up front to level the front end out with the rear, some agressive tread...  :P

Leave the wheels, just slap some 235's on them.

Andy,

Looks like it's time to put 33's on the green one with a body lift, 30's on the black one with 2" sky spacers on the springs.....Good buy...

I would need some TC gears for the Turtle, to put 33's on it..  It pulls the 31's fine, but it wouldn't like anything any bigger...

I might go as big as 30's on the black one, but nothing agressive, it isn't going to see mud or trails, and just the occaisional off road excursion...

I need some light wheels, I do have my old alloys off the 93, I think I am going to clean them up and have them powder coated and put 235's on them for now..

who knows...  lol..

I have 5 vehicles right now, and they could all use some customizing/repairs. SO...  picking what gets what first is a challenge.. HAHA!
