Im home! Yay!

I forgot to get batterys for my camera and didnt feel like uprooting the rv to go to town to go get some. I think Floyds wife may have took a few.
I had a great time at the melt this year. They did a great job as usual. It was a little hot though. I hooked up with my freind Floyd and his wife Carol this year. Thats their Sami next to mine. He had a bad cartwheel last year and the tub was severly damaged. Now its streched 10 more inches to add more stability.
We traveled together this year in their new Freightliner toterhome rv. Talk about sweet. I felt spoiled all weekend and I liked it!
We pulled in 3-4 pm on thursday and promptly went for a ride till the park closed.
The next day we slept in till 11 am cause we were so tired from not sleeping the night before. (drove straight through the night) We played in the quarry and red trail till the rock race began. It was kinda nice being just 2 rigs cause we covered a lot of ground in a short period of time but the rigs were taking a lot of abuse from not having any down time. I had smoke billowing out of my transfer case shifter. ( thats a sign to give her a little break!
) The rock race was hard as heck this year. Only 6 rigs entered. When I saw the coarse I almost bailed too cause I still had another day of wheelin left and didnt want to finish my rig off here. A little peer pressure and I was in.
I was flyin through at a good pace when I fell off my line and got a little jacked up in some giant holes. :'( I ended up breaking an axle shaft trying to get free. Only one guy completed the coarse so clearly he won. He deserved it. Right where I screwed up he did too and almost flipped it over. Most people would have asked for the strap, he hit reverse and saved it. Very cool.
We hooked up with 3 really cool guys out of texas, 95geo (ZWmember) and had a great run on saturday. Crawl magazine hooked up with all of us and was shooting pics for about 4 hours. I ended up breaking an inner axle on something that really wasnt that hard. Im pretty sure I stressed it in the rockcrawl and it just failed there.
Floyd and I headed out to the dunes to bomb around for a while till the group photo and raffle.
