But check out this samurai.  I can't tell if it's a roof rack or a roll cage, either way, it looks weird.

They aren't too hard to convert over to 4wd.

Looks like the "rack" is made out of square tubing.  Nothing a torch, cut off wheel, etc. won't cure.  Looks nice otherwise.

The TT looks pretty nice too.

to make one 4x4 it wont cost you much. I have found a couple of tranny's with tcase's for $100 and you can find a front dline and the complete ifs for $100 down to free. It would take only a little time to put it together.

Well on local CL there was also another one, the entire chassis...frame, axles, t-case, trans, everything there (but the engine, I think) for $500.  And a rolled 1990 for $800.  So, I COULD do it...but I'd rather invest that time and $$$ in the good one I got already 
Cause there's always gonna be other ones out there for relatively cheap compared to what I paid for mine.  A 93 just popped up on CL today for 1200.
