Off road Light recommendations

Any recommendations on a quality inexpensive set for my Kick front bumper.

go with kc you wont regret it. they are built to last wont rust or corode, best damn lights ive had. dont buy any lights from walmart by the way

for cheap and bright go to your NAPA or similar store.  buy a couple of those rubber housing flood lights. 

then have them order you a couple of the 100 watt spot/airplane landing lights that go right into the same housings. 

flood lights are about $10 each, and the 100 watt bulbs are about $10 apice.  cheap, lots of light, rugged.  hard to beat for the money.

strvger do you have this setup on your rig?  Did you then wire them into the dash with a toggle switch?  I might look into that option.

yes, but don't forget to put a fuse in there and you may want a relay, but i never used one.  works fine and really takes all the bumps and vibrations very well.

something to keep in mind...

if you're wheelin' the desert and/or wide open spaces, long range spots are the best.  going fast you need the long range of these.

if you're wheelin' thick forest trails, rocks, or muddin', then you need more light up close to where you are.  goin' slow in these situations, you need to see up close and as much as possible to each side as well.  this is when you need either flood or trapezoidal lights.

try mounting the up-close floods/trapezoidal lights at grille level so you see all the near obstacles, and the long-range lights higher up to get the view way out in front when your cruisin' fast and loose.

these are just the "farm tractor/implement" rubber housing flood lights.  about $10 apiece at most auto parts places, Menards, Home Depot, Northern Tool, Harbor Freight, etc.  no big deal finding them really.  then, at your nearsest car/truck supplier, have them order up the 100 watt spots for them.  i could be wrong, but i belileve they are called the PAR 36 (?) size lamps.  about 4 3/4 inch diameter i believe.   just pop out the old sealed sealed beam flood and pop in the new spot.  these lights are found all over.  not a big deal.

Did the NAPA ones B-4. They Suck. really.
35watt flood Too yellow.
55 watt spot is still too yellow and not cheap.

Pro-Comps are thin enough to put anywhere and bright and clear.
Spots (driving) are top and middle -dang near pencil beam
Fog (floods) are low and outside.- Wide and short
Figure since I won't be outdriving my lights.
took off the driving lights and just left Fog.
