Help With 16v Swap
« on: August 27, 2004, 01:44:45 AM »
Ok So I have the entire wiring harnes out of my donor vehicle.  Im looking for help from anyone who has done this before.

Can I use the existing harness that goes to the rear of the truck?

It looks like the only thing that is not hooked to the engine harness is the MAF sensor.  How did you deal with this?  Is it possible to isolate the wires for the MAF sensor or should I plan on using the under dash and headlight harness?

Is the donor harness the same year as your Trackick? If not, you need the dash to go with it, for switch and plug adaption. And hopefully the donor truck wasn't a 96-98, if it was, you now have OBD-2 to deal with, and if that's the case, you need to switch the dash and tank.

My donor is a 93 and recipiant is a 94.  Everything looks identical and the dash and door harneses hook up Im just tryingto figure out if they are wired the same before I put power to it.
