Having both vehicles will make the swap much easier. Hang on to everything until you are done. The parts left over are valuable and can be used for help, trades, or just given (in some states it is illegal to sell parts w/o lisence).
I would change the timing chains & water pump while motor is out.
I would also try to find a hard copy of the Factory Service Manual for your new vehicle. ACK's
http://www.acksfaq.com/is a good resource for information.
This may be a plug & play swap, or the wiring may have changed, requiring adapting from one wiring system to another or changing out whole system. The best thing to do is compare FSM wiring diagrams for both years. Or compare wiring color pin for pin on the connector's before you connect them. My experience is that the computers are not as delicate as the manuals portray them, but disconnect battery before breaking into wiring.
I hope you have a garage to work in.
