Hello all.

I bought a JX a month ago and have been working on getting it road worthy.  I already spent close to what I paid for the thing in parts to make it look and run better.  I am in need of a replacement hood.  I live in PA and the shipping is sickening from the west cost to here for a private sale so I have been trying to buy one on line with little to no luck.  I have asked on the other suzuki forum but just joined here due to the volume of people compared to the other site.  If anyone knows a reasonable place to order a hood(used or Taiwan made) It would really help.  The previous owner said one of his employees hit the hood with a backhoe bucket.

I have dent free hood .... but it does have some light rust along the front lip by the hood latch. I am in Indianapolis, Indiana. You might also contact my good friend Michael Parmalee too. He operates an all Samurai salvage yard. I am sure he has one. He is in Franklin, New Hampshire.

Thank you for the reply,  I am familiar with your friends site but have always been a little put off  by him not willing to ship an entire door.  He only ships cutting the window frame off.  I understand it makes the thing simpler to ship but if it customer is willing to pay for the effort then why not?  Other than that small gripe I know how much work it takes to get things ready for shipping as well as all the listing and dealing with us the public.  I don't mind a little rust as long as it's just surface.  I'll have to prime and paint it most likely anyway.  UNLESS IT'S RED!  I bought an entire power steering setup from a guy in CA and it was only $8 something shipped because he made it all fit in one of those flat rate boxes.  Too bad they did not have hood size flat rate boxes...

My wife's first reaction was..."Did he give you a new hood to go with it?"  I think it gives it character but the puddle that collects in the dent is also liked by the local birds.  After the last rain it was the popular neighborhood bird bath.  I bought one off of Amazon for $165 and 4 days later it was canceled due to damage found before shipping.  A week later I saw another on Amazon and it turned out to be the same hood put back into stock and that sale was canceled a week later.  Good grief Charlie Brown!  Are there any East coasters that have had a Freight shipment from Trail Tough shipped to them?  Were the truck shipments reasonable?  They have hoods.  There was a guy on the Suzuki forum that offered me his hood for $60 but he has not responded in the last several weeks...  Boxcar if you really feel helpful you can load up your Zuk with all your spare stuff and visit me in Pittsburgh.  I'll have the wife feed you till you can't move.
