Calmini sells billet or cut gears, Rocky Road
sells welded gears, I installed a set for Shoyrtt
in a Sammy, 4:1's I think, he wished he got the
6 or 8 to 1's instead

Sounds like I will be going with Trail Tough as their price is hard to beat right now and $300us is a ton of Canuckian bucks :o  Thanks very much to everyone for sharing the info. Can't wait to get them in and see how the 34's hook up ;D ;D

Can anyone backup what Agent Orange is saying about the trail tough gears. I like the price but don't want to buy a problem child.

i never said trail tough gears were welded. i said from the pictures they looked welded. so that's just me talking out my ass.

all i know is that i haven't read anywhere about calmini's gears having any problems. yes they cost more but with a solid reputation for reliability i'm choosing calmini's set. they should be having a sale on them in the spring so i'll wait it out.

i'm sure trail tough gears are top notch. it's just that none of us ever heard the results of locjaw's problem with them. i can't risk having my rig break down like that as it's my daily driver, so that's what shapes my decision.
