GV tie rod ball joint flip

I was thinking of running a Calmini 2.5" lift with coil spacers on my '01 Tracker.  Somebody told me I might get binding in the steering as well as the CV's.  Is there a way I can flip the tie rod ball joint so that the tie rod sits on top of the mount on the upright instead of underneath?  This would reduce the angle on the tie rod quite a bit and may be a simple mod to do. 
any opinions welcome.

If you flip the tierods it will change your geometry and drive poorly on the street. The tie rod flip is and off road only mod. I would not recomend running spacers with that kit. The struts will be topped out and ride stiff among other things.

There is other ways u can lower the rack a bit not a hard job im gonna look at doing this soon.

The problem is the tie rod angle and the lower control arm would different angles of operation  causing bump steer. This is a bad Idea for a street vehicle.

I ran OME struts with the Calmini spacers and didn't have any problems with the steering binding.  the CV's didn't last very long so i now just run it with the OME struts.

Hey Gear,
How much longer are the OME struts compared to the stock struts and the Calmini struts for a GV?

Gear,
Didn't you run a spring spacer in combo with the Calmini lift?  Did you have problems with the struts being topped out all the time and the bad ride associated with it?

i have 30mm in one side because of a sagged spring and 15mm the other side.  i don't really have any problems with them topping out with just the OME struts (the calmini springs loose alot of height).  The best thing i found for the topping out when offroad is the run the tires at a low pressure so the front doesn't bouce around as much.

I don't figure they are much longer, are they a higher rate?
