I should really......
« on: July 06, 2005, 05:03:14 PM »
Finish one project before starting new one but I couldn't help myself and had to buy these......

The Black '84 410 has a knacked 1Lt so the rusty  '87 413 is going to donate the motor, 5spd and diffs to the cause. Then the firewall (bulkhead?) and floor pan is going to be used on the 410 chassis below to make a buggy out of it, I want to keep the front clip on as I think the 410s front looks kinda cool  :)

Included in the deal was another G13 with gbox, two F10's with gbox, numerous diffs for 413 and 410, four 410 tcase's and loads of other stuff so we have heaps to chose from to make the buggy out a. I want to put rear steer in seems we have a extra front diff sitting around  :P  ;D

Was actually 2 deals, I found the 410 first then a few days latter spotted the 413 with all the extras. Then a little click happened in my head and a plan was hatched  ;D

413 diffs won't fit a 410 but I think you can swap the complete axles OK. Also if you plan on swapping floor pans take a good look at the chassis. The earlier 410 frame is different and the bodys don't interchange.

I meant swap complete axles Rhino, The Chassis is an '84 so hopefully there won't be to many hassles and if so the MIG and grinder will take care of them.

Now what should I do with this one I just brought....

'89 escudo 1600 manual, fuel pump not working shouldn't be too much of a problem to fix  ;D

I had to do a double take at the last pic... I thought those wheels had 8 lugs. :o

Of course if there was a narrowed D44/D60 under there, the bottom of the diff would be rubbing on the ground and the top would have the engine resting on it :P

I just keep an eye out on a local trader kinda like Ebay.

The Escudo will be keeping the 1600 in it, 2 Lt would be nice but they  are too much $$$$ to buy over here and I'd rather spend $$ on gearing and may be some Yota axles. I might have crack at an SAS with coils on this one  :)
