I finally got to witness one of the heated debates that Eric was talking about in Stu's thread. ;D

My stance is that I'm leaving my kick IFS, for the time being. After all, I'm after building a unique vehicle, and I still want to show all the local naysayers around here that IFS can rock it in the mud, too. ;D

Hey, I could get up on that ;D My wheel would just be about 1-1.5' in the air instead of close to the ground ;D

That is a sweet pic though, I'll have to give you that much ;)

All I know is that here in Michigan we don't have a lot of rocks.  Mostly mud, must have something to do with all that water around here.

So, underbody clearance is the best thing around here.  And with a IFS I have better clearance with smaller tires.

Haven't hit any really big rocks yet other than some at the Badlands.

Very true... just woods, swamp, and sand around here :-/

After I lifted my Kick I drove it over to my friends house and he was amazed at the amount of ground clearance it had (Full-sized Chevy guy).

To add to that droop is the amount of compression. If he was nose down, it may have a tendency to nose dive and bring the rear up and over.
There are lots of layovers and endues due to the tremendous droop of suspension, and lots of driver error with that droop.

Flexy doesnt mean better. Im not knocking Erics rig cause I like/liked it both ways. ;D

We went too hells revenge two days with two different groups of trucks. The only 2 IFS rigs were chunk and I. Chunk has some of the worst flex ive ever seen, yet he was the only one that I saw drive out of mickeys hot tub. ::) OR to drive up that slickrock wall in hells revenge... ::) I couldnt do it either, but my point is, an IFS car did. Theres something to be said for stability.
