unknown problem need help!!!

unknown problem need help!!!

My '92 JL would not go into gear this morning when I first statred up. I had the clutch pedal to the floor but I could not get it into gear. After I let it idle for a few minutes and warm up it worked fine.
 Is the clutch the problem? Or is it something else?
 A buddy of mine said there was a bushing in the transfer case , that would cause this to happen when it wears out. Any Ideas?

the shifter sheet in the t-case won't stop you from shifting the tranny.

I suspect water in the upper shifter compartment on top of the tranny. Deep water crossings cause it to build up in the separate shifter linkage compartment, then it freezes causing shifting trouble until it warms up...

try changing the tranny oil.  if it has regular GL5 gear oil in it instead of GL4 manual trans fluid then it will be significantly harder to shift in cold temperatures

my choice would be Redline Synthetic MT-90

I have already changed the tranny oil. I used Royal Purple synthetic. seems to work very well.

Thanks alot for the suggestion though.

I have narrowed down the problem to the clutch cable itself, still working on it though.
