WOULD ANY ONE ELSE LIKE TO GET A ZUKIWOLD.COM  EMAIL ADDRESS    ........ NYSIDEKICKER|removethispart|@ZUKIWORLD.COM ....ANY PLANS ON THIS ERIC ???..SOUNDS COOL TO ME THEN I COULD POST ON MY ZUKE AND PEOPLE COULD NOT ONLY FIND ME BUT THIS WEB SIGHT AS WELL........... ::)     MATTY D. That is a good idea but I think most people have about as many email accounts as they can take. Plus we do not have the resources to persue that at this time.

OK IT WAS JUST A THOUGHT.....I ONLY HAVE MY MAIN ACCT THROUGH INTERNET PROVIDER AT THIS TIME ..DID HAVE ONE THROUGH YAHOO...BUT IT WAS SOME WHERE I DONT GO OFTEN SO I NEVER REMEMBERED TO CHECK IT....BUT HERE I'M EVERY DAY  ;D ITS MY HOME PAGE  ;D  SO THAT WAS THE THOUGHT .......THANKS  MATTY D.

What about a easier way to post pics w/out having your own website? I just haven't gotten that part figured out yet.

YEA IT WOULD BE NICE IF IT WAS KINDA LIKE HEATHERS IS...WHERE YOU CAN BROWSE YOUR OWN FILES FROM YOUR COMPUTER AND POST...BUT  I'LL EXPLAIN IT FOR YOU.......  OK NOW GO TO A PICTURE POSTED ON A WEB SIGHT...RIGHT CLICK ON IT .... GO DOWN TO PROPERTIES  CLICK ON IT  ........ IT WILL SHOW AN ADDRESS URL ..HIGHLIGHT RIGHT CLICK & COPY THE ADDRESS.... NOW CLICK ON PIC OF P.C. UNDER THE S   PUT THE ADDRESS INBETWEEN THE IMG'S LEAVING SPACE BEFORE AND AFTER ADDRESS  Ã‚ SHOULD NOW POST A PIC.

if we all want somtin like that i think it would be time for us to help Eric and the zukiworld crew make this place bigger .. how about a PAYPAL donation link for this site ERIC ?? would be cool and would probably bring in some $$ for this place and maybe upgrade enough to be able to give everyone a little 5mb mail account  ;D

This type of feature costs money in 2 ways.  One in the form of disk space on server, as the pic is uploaded to the server and stored there.  Secondly, additional bandwidth is used as the BBS server now needs to send the pic out to everybody who views it.

If everybody else hosts their own pictures (as with this BBS), then it doesn't cost the forum site anything more.  The only costs are to the poster in the form of space and bandwidth on their own system as it's being used rather then the forum site.  (make sense?)

Fortunately I manage and host my own stuff so its easy for me to control costs.  Plus the puny little forum on "Heathers" site doesn't get much action.   But I could see that if it ever began to get busy like this forum has gotten that it'd have to stop sometime.  I only got so much bandwidth to the house and space to store stuff.

Again space and bandwidth cost money, but, a web-based, IMAP client could perform this function pretty easily.  It wouldn't cost much to setup and maintain as long as it was setup to use IMAP from the 'customers' originating mail servers.  (mail stays on the customers site)  It'd act as a mail reader.  Then with some clever redirects and mail forwarding you could integrate the Zukiworld domain name into the email address.

The only space that it would tie up on Zukiworld would be the code and preferences, similarly to that of the forum properties.

I'd think that a product like this; http://www.squirrelmail.org/ (which is free) could do the job without much trouble or modification.

Then again, time costs money too.  And I'd bet that most of us have real jobs we have to attend too

Just my 2 cents worth.
