SUZUKI AUTO STRENGTHENS REGIONAL LEADERSHIP
Two auto industry experts to lead central and western regions to new heights
BREA, Calif., (Sept. 5, 2007) – American Suzuki Motor Corporation today announced that Gary Van Houten and John Frantz have joined its automotive team as regional general managers of the company’s western and central regions, respectively. The duo’s leadership will continue the Suzuki success story at a peak growth time in the company’s history.
Suzuki Auto’s sales in 2006 were up 23 percent over 2005, as the company sold an all-time high of 100,990 vehicles – the best sales year in company history. American Suzuki continues its sales growth in 2007, with year-to-date sales surpassing last year’s pace.

Van Houten and Frantz will be responsible for a network of more than 225 dealers. They will integrate corporate programs and grassroots initiatives to grow sales momentum, expand and strengthen the dealer network and oversee the transition of dealerships to the highly successful and profitable Suzuki Square retail brand image program.
