hey guys you will prolly disown me after reading this but i was thinkin about swaping in a nissan motor more specificly a ka24de it's the motor that is in the nissan 240sx  and nissan pick ups it's a 2.4l dual overhead cam long stroke motor it's rated for 150 hp and i think 155 ft pounds these motors are super cheap and I can get one for free with tranny with ecu and harness

beside the obvious fact that it is a nissan motor is there anything i should be thinking about when swaping?

Actually, I don't think you'd be the first to put one in a 'Zuk.  Lots of people have put different engines in Sammi's, but I don't know about a Trackick.  I'd love to be able to put a Honda car engine in mine, but since they're front drive.... 

you could but a honda engine in even tho it is meant for a front wheel drive car but... the fact is that a honda engine is a reverse rotation motor so it actually works backwards than most motors and i would like to put a honda motor in like a b18 but the gots no torque pretty close to what a stock kick motor makes. 

i just saw somebody on cardomain that had a 4.3 in his kick can you say 225 hp and 235 ft of torque he maxed out at 153mph *shudders at the thought of having to stop with stock brakes*

Why does every one put chevy motors in japenese cars? It is the motor and drivetrain that make a japenese car as good as it is. A lot of people do this to the 1980s toyota pickups, which came with very well made engines (20r, 22r, 22re, 22rte) that didnt make the most power, but got the job done, and lasted forever. I think the idea of swapping the samurai engine is a good idea, but it is best to swap in the 1.6 just to keep the parts interchangeable and vehicle still a suzuki, not a chevy or ford .

who cares if the motor is american or Japanese? Its not like our suzukis are collector items and we need to keep them all stock.

I had a toyota truck and put a 4.3 chev v6 in it. There is no possible way a toyota motor will make as much torque as a chev v6 (maybe the supra inline 6  )

Its all about parts availability and chev motors are everywhere as are adapters and speed parts.

i wanted to keep my tracker all  one manufacturer so i put a 350 chevy motor  and a sm465 and a np208 all chevy right. so that keeps it original correct put in what fits( wallet, availability, parts, and ease of installation. ) and it makes it that much mor original too
