Mexican SJ410?
« on: January 19, 2008, 08:36:08 AM »
i just picked up a very rusty 84 SJ410 soft top. It must be from Mexico. It has stickers on the windshield that say hacienda and tourista. It also has a different serial number position than my 83. The 83 is on a metal plate and the 84 is on a sticker on the front side of the dash. The windshield can fold down on this one also.It also never had side windows the tops of the doors are covers with a plastic cover and there are 2 pipes at each end that some kind of fixed window must have slid into. It's just too bad the back end is so rusty. It runs like a top though. It is black with a orange and red stripe. I will post a picture later.Where is a good place to find body panels or a complete body?Someone needs to make one out of fiberglass I would take 2.

It sounds like you may have the original factory half doors.

Sounds like an SJ410 too me. You have the half doors and the flippy flop windshield on that.

I had one once, traded it for a couple of locked Sammy diff's. Should have kept it. :(

Be kinda neat now. I would take the neat parts from the 410 and put them on my Sammy.

I guess I can still do part of that as I still have the E-brake from it to install on my rig. I just wish I still had the half doors. :(

It might be a Santana, as they where made in Spain.  The Half Doors are the original option on the SJ-410, the full hard doors with the soft top is actually the SJ-410Q  :)

It has SJ410 badges behind the doors just like my 83. I wish it wasn't so rusty I might have to turn it into a truck.
