When I first looked at the two pictures I thought you had re-painted the Vitara.  Then I realized it was just really really dirty.  :D

For suspension suggestions I suggest starting in the Tech faq that was recently posted.  If you don't see the answer in there start up a thread in the tech section.  Welcome to the board!:

Hello from the UK :)

I only passed my driving test yesterday after riding motorbikes for the last few years. Picked up my '94 Vitara a few weeks back. Not had the spare cash to change anything yet, but its a work in progress - just patched some rust holes in the arches etc.

mine looks a little out of place next to everyones offroaders, I havent managed to take mine offroad yet, but am taking it along to a meet in 2 weeks for my first attempt ;)

Thanks DJ!  She had her bumps and bruises, and even her share of cancer. So I did the best I could on the body work, taped it off , and then had my cousin spray on the bedliner. I was a little nervous about the color choice, but I let the kids pick it( school colors) and really like it now that its done. I'll dig up a pic from before the bedliner and you will be able to see some of her damage!

Yeah that stuff will cover up ANYTHING.  Nice color choice.  Orange has been my favorite color since I was a young 'un (I believe it leads to my fascination in engine blocks).  That would be a good school mascot vehicle for one of the highschools in my town!
