TopHeavy96:  Looks good with those meaty tires.

Hey thanks, it's amazing what tires and spacers will do. Should be better on the trail I'd imagine. ;D

I'm not sure I know what you mean by "new fender sides". I have contemplated cutting the top portion off some old fenders to bolt above the flat part of the aluminum. I can think of no purpose other than appearance. It would be easy tho, I might try it.  Honestly, I built this rig to work on my property as a hunting rig/tractor. Did some web searches and caught the bug. Now I want to fab a crawler. Today I bent up a swing away spare carrier, it goes on Mon. when I buy more mix for the MIG. Tomorrow I'll do the rear fenders. I don't know what's next, maybe shorten up the top and button it down behind the seats to the boxes lip and I think I'm done. I know "you're never done", but I have 2 other Trackers to screw around with.

That's exactly what I was talking about.  :)  I was thinking of sheet metal, but your idea of using old fenders is even better.

heres a couple pictures of mine as of now:

what started out as a parts rig turned into a idea and then into reality. heres some specs on what is all there:
91 geo tracker, mostly stock: $300.00
2" coil spacer with strut mount flip: $80.00
30/9.50/15 wallyworld tires(from what i've been told) on rims: $300.00
replaced cross member from accident and cut an flipped shock mont on rear axle: free
toyota amblem on grill: "PRICELESS"

sorry guys,i'm a toyota man at heart and after building my bosses sami, i decided i needed to do something with this little jewel. we do have another one laying around the yard that will be built in to a bigger wheeler.

just a picture update, will and info in a couple days when i get bak home. hope you guys like trackers on 38's

That may be the nicest XL7 I have ever seen. What mods did you do to get the 33's on it?

38  :o Got a build thread?

not of this build,it was a quick 3 week build. stock sami axle with tracker 5:13 gears and lock right in front w/ sami spring over and mercedes arm for steering. rear, i just cut the stock trailing arms and sleeved them to the length i needed. cut the center out of the wish bone and welded a draw bar from a tractor 3 piont for adjustment. full getto build but the guy i sold my toy to decided not to pay me >:( :( >:( so i had to get it up and running for a trail run that our club was hosting and since i'm the pres., i figured i better have something.
gathering parts for new axles (dana 44's from a wagoner). will do build tread then.
