New guy here (lurking for awhile). I'm not knew to Sammys. I bought my first Samurai in 1987 brand knew. It is currently in the back yard of a friend who married the girl my daughter sold it to. I currently own two Sammys. One is an 88 soft top with a removable hard top. It is pretty much stock except for rust and dirt. I have had it about six years and it has always got me where I wanted to go. Paid $500 for it. My second one is an 87 tin top. It is a work in progress
1300 Sumo II

New interior

Baby's got a new top. It's called a Safari Top. Gives more shade than the previous bikini top, yet allows plenty of air flow for those Hot days coming.  ;)

Looking GOOD!  ;D Just gotta snug it up a little more. Once I got the front part centered and tight, I pulled down on the bow from the back stretching it out while cinching the velcro strap with the other hand. Mine's CAMO as well, but it's difficult to tell with the light it was in.  ;)

Love the BFG MTs. (235/75/15) They ride smoother and less noise than the worn out street tires that were on it when I bought it. Like night and day. I run a lot of gravel roads with a lot of washboard bumps.

And they wear decently and are kick *ss in the mud!  I rotate with every oil change and they're wearing nice and even.
