 was wondering if any one makes a light bar for a 2 door soft top or any one knows of one that fits

The only lightbars I've ever seen were fabbed. possible mounting points - bolts for sunroof swing arms, the top of the frame around the windsheild or possibly a roofrack if you have one. besides that unless you wanted to do something like the TJ Wrangler Tombraider edition lightbar I have no clue. So I think fabrication is the only way. please post your solution. I have my lights, I just need to mount them too. he he

There are also some mounting points behind the trim for the softop. I can't think how to explain it at the mo but if you look on my site under mods, safari rack, there are pics  :)

I just bought a universal KC lightbar for a truck cut it down and bolted it to the side of the roof bar

its kinda hard to see but you get the idea

I'm getting ready to build a light bar for my 2 dr.  After looking at the trucklet, a lot of depends on the truck and the owner.  Examples:

If you have a 2 pc hardtop, you could mount lights on the bars that are on that (at least mine already has bars).   But only if you never take the tops.  Or you could mount a bar between the two tops, but only if you aren't going to run a soft top, unless you make the bar high enough for the soft top to go under it and mount it on the sides.  Only other option is to mount up all the way up front above the windshield.

Mine is going to be between the 2 hardtops and be about 3-4 inches off the body.  It will curve down on the ends and mount on the sides of the B pillars...

I already ran this post a few months ago and got lots of ideas.  I am having a bar fabbed that mounts above the windshield like an Olympic light bar for a jeep.  I am then having another one mounted above the middle pillar and they are being made to allow the soft top to function normally.  I may go differently by not doing the front bar but having the one over the middle pillar made then one off the rear of the truck that extends above the top in back and  has side supports to the side of the body.  Seen that on a jeep also.  Might add a roof safari box to either in front over the cab, or over the back section depending on which method I use.  My goal is to carry my surfboards and extra gear above the top of the truck.   I will post photos when done (about 2 weeks away)

I used a Steel Horse rack on my roofbars, its positioned towards the back so there just enough room to swing back the front soft top frame to get the top up and down. The light are mounted to the front of the cage. Its not easy to see in the pic below but there is a bar that runs across between the rails near the front of the cage that serves as an alternative mounting if the cage isn't fitted (it usually is)

From a Suzuki dealer  ;D. They were an optional extra but were discontinued a few years ago. They come up on eBay from time to time but usually fetch high prices. The load rating isn't very high, possibly because of the way the rear uprights fit to the main bars or maybe because of paranoia about lifting the C of G. If you look on my site you can see how it all fits together, there are no holes to drill. I'm sure someone could easily fabricate a tubular version there seems to be a big enough demand. I get a fair few emails asking where they can be bought.

I'm watching one on a local auction site here in NZ, the guy hasn't put a pic up of it yet (I just asked him to) but I'm picking it's like Rhino's. If it is and it looks like it's going cheap I'm going to try grab it in case I get another soft top - but if you've got you heart set on one of those ones you can buy it for what it cost me ( I payed US$70 for my last one) + what ever it cost to ship it to the US. They strip down to just a few rods so it shouldn't be much.

I"m interested in finding roof bars for the soft top, you said around 70 bucks USD? do you have any more infor?
